Badwell Ash was formed in March 2004 by Stewart Charlesworth and Simon Pettitt, age 16 and 15 years respectively at the time. Initially the music was solely acoustic guitars but it later broadened out to include electric guitars, piano and Caroline (Caz) Adlington on drums. Now without a drummer the band is playing fewer gigs due to individual music commitments - Stewart concentrating on performing solo and Simon on sound/recording engineering. On those occasions when the band does get together it returns to its roots and focuses on playing purely acoustic music.
Gigs played include Cambridge Strawberry Fair Main Stage (Europe’s biggest free festival), Cambridge Corn Exchange, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Secret Garden Party twice (where the band was voted one of the highlights of the Acoustic Tent on Music OMH.com see www.musicomh.com/festivals), Rhythms of the World Festival and the Ealing Jazz Festival twice. Details of all band gigs (past and future) can be found on this site.
PURCHASE THE ALBUM "IN A GIANT'S HAND". The album is for sale through the Badwell Ash shop priced £6, which includes postage and packing, and at gigs. The album is also on iTunes so if you only want to buy individual rather than the full album go to www.apple.com/itunes/store/ search for Badwell Ash, register and then download what you want.

IF YOU ONLY GET TO ONE GIG IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS MAKE SURE IT'S THIS ONE.

RICHARD BISIKER MEMORIAL GIG
THE JUNCTION, CAMBRIDGE - WEDNESDAY 20th DECEMBER 2006

Past music students from Cambridge Regional College are organising a memorial gig for music teacher Richard Bisiker who sadly died earlier this year from cancer. The gig, at The Junction, Cambridge on Wednesday 20th December, will be a tribute to a man who loved music and who was well liked and hugely respected by all his students.
The line-up for the night consists of eight bands, including Mono Effect, Timefall, J-Treole and Badwell Ash. The music will range across genres as diverse as hip-hop, jazz, rock, metal, progressive, indie and blues but each band has in common the fact that most of the members were taught by Richard.
Staff from Cambridge Regional College will also perform on the night together with Richard’s brother, himself a professional musician.
Doors open at 7.00pm and tickets for the event are £4 on the door or £3 in advance through The Junction's web site (www.junction.co.uk). All profits will go to Cancer Research

We'll soon be playing our last gigs in Cambridge and Cambridgeshire for some time due, as we've mentioned previously, to the fact that the three of us are off to college in Brighton on 25th September. Until we know the college programme we won't be arranging any gigs so the ones posted on this site and at www.myspace.com/badwellash are the last ones for a little while. If you want tickets for any of the gigs, particularly the ones at Ramsey, Soham and CB2 in Cambridge then please contact us.
